LaVon M. Johns Named Illinois Real Estate Journal's 2024 Woman of the Year

Join RSHC in congratulating Partner and Business Transactions Team Leader, LaVon M. Johns, on being honored as the 2024 Woman of the Year at the June 5 Illinois Real Estate Journal Awards, where over 900 commercial real estate industry leaders were in attendance. Members of the RSHC Business Transactions (BT) Team joined her on stage to celebrate LaVon expanding RSHC’s capacity of transactional and business advisory services plus the RSHC BT Team’s hundreds of transactional accomplishments and “Impact Developments” over the last year. A few of LaVon’s projects include, public-private partnership infrastructure transactions including the $1.8B privatization transaction of the Chicago Skyway Toll Bridge and the Gift of Hope Project, a new South Side health care hub. LaVon and the RSHC BT Team is also currently working on the establishment of a CDO for the I-290 / Blue Line Project.

RSHC Counsel Pete Zagotta also took center stage to announce finalists and winners in six categories. RSHC and its lawyers were showcased on four separate occasions. In LaVon’s words, “Our table was strategically placed and filled with team members, family, and clients. Our clients and peers were throughout the room. Just an all-around win for RSHC. I am grateful!”
